Soap and detergent production uses compressed air for mixing, filling, packing and process control. Where air contacts the product, it must be clean and dry to protect quality and prevent contamination of household and personal-care products.
Key applications
- Mixing and blending vessel pressurisation
- Filling, capping and sealing lines
- Pneumatic conveying of powders
- Packaging and palletising
Air quality
Product-contact air must be oil-free and dry to prevent contamination and caking of hygroscopic powders. Control air needs a low dew point for reliable valve operation on the filling lines.
System design
Use oil-free compression with drying and filtration, and separate hygienic product air from general utility air. Provide redundancy for the continuous filling lines and manage the dusty powder environment with heavy-duty intake filtration.
