Juice bottling lines use compressed air for bottle handling, filling, capping and labelling, and much of it contacts the product or packaging. The air must be hygienic and oil-free to protect the juice and meet food safety standards.
Key applications
- Bottle rinsing and air cleaning
- Filling and capping line actuation
- Labelling and packing
- Control and instrumentation air
Air quality
Any air that touches the bottle, the product or the packaging should be oil-free and dry, typically to a food-grade purity class. Sterile filtration at the point of use adds protection where air directly contacts the product path.
System design
Use oil-free compression with drying, coalescing and sterile filtration, and separate hygienic product air from general utility air. Design for continuous production with redundancy, and manage the wet washdown environment with corrosion-resistant equipment.
